Planning a bridal shower should feel just as special as the big day itself, and at The Emerson, we’re all about the little things that make a big impact. Whether you’re hosting for your sister, best friend, or even yourself (hey, we support it!), here are a few fun and meaningful ways to make your shower stand out and feel completely you.
1. Bring in the Florals (But Make It Personal)
Florals are always a favorite, but don’t feel like you have to stick to just pastels or roses. Think wildflowers from grandma’s garden, tropical blooms to match the honeymoon, or even dried flowers for that boho touch. We’ve seen everything from bold pops of color to soft and romantic arrangements. Bonus points for adding floral touches to your signage, menus, or cake!
2. Let the Menu Tell a Story
Nothing brings people together like food. Go for a brunch buffet if that’s your vibe, or keep it light and fun with a build-your-own charcuterie board (yes, we’ve done it, and yes, it’s always a hit). Add in a mimosa bar, iced coffee station, or even custom cookies that reflect the bride’s personality or love story.
3. Set the Scene With a Theme
Themes don’t have to be over the top. Sometimes a color palette or a simple idea, like “Love is Brewing” for a coffee-loving bride or “Garden Party” for something elegant, can really tie everything together. We love seeing our space transform with different decor styles, and we’re happy to recommend local vendors who get the vision.
4. Create a Moment (Or Two)
Photo booths, guest book alternatives (like a message-in-a-bottle station), or a simple toast from close friends can turn a shower into a core memory. One group brought in a flower crown-making station and it was the sweetest way to get everyone involved.
5. Don’t Stress the Details—We Got You
Our venue was built for these kinds of events, intimate, memorable, and easy. We’re here to help you figure out what works best in the space, connect you with our favorite vendors, and make sure everything runs smoothly so you can focus on the fun.
If you're planning a bridal shower, come take a tour or reach out, let’s dream it up together.
